We
both had a good night's rest -- sleeping on a ship is really wonderful.
After
walking two miles on Deck Six and having breakfast with Phil -- we both
attended the 10:00 am port briefing specifically for independent travelers
(those of us not taking any tours).
The
"Location Specialist" covered our first three ports-- all located in
Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada --- Cornerbrook, Red Bay and Cartwright. We picked up some good tips on what to see
in these small towns -- Cornerbrook's population is just shy of 20,000 but Red
Bay and Cartwright have populations in the hundreds.
After
lunch I attended a seminar on "How to Use Your Digital Camera" --- it
was pretty good. This session
enlightened me to the fact that our point and shoot camera is way too complex
for me -- at least on this trip. It's
back to the iPhone for my pictures.
These
days at sea have been great -- it is an adjustment to settle in for five weeks
-- but we've had a chance to get into a
routine -- Phil has picked a favorite table by the pool just outside the Lido
for breakfast and lunch.
Tomorrow
we stop for the day in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, Canada -- we'll see what we
find.
Thanks
for reading!
Pat
Sounds like you've settled in very well. Smooth sailing!
